Lincoln Public Schools Selects Edupoint’s Synergy Education Platform
Edupoint® Educational Systems, a leading student information system (SIS) solution for the national K-12 market, has been selected by Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) to implement its Synergy® Education Platform to support the district’s 38,000 students in more than 60 schools and programs. As the second largest school district in Nebraska, LPS sought a solution that would eliminate the need for disparate systems, empower educators with insightful data, and actively engage families in the education process.
Seeking to replace an existing student data management system that had been in place for over twenty years, LPS placed an emphasis on finding a fully integrated solution that would provide administrators, educators, and families the necessary transparency to help ensure student success. After an extensive RFP process and solution demonstrations, the district selected Synergy based on the rich feature set of the SIS solution and its highly customizable framework that streamlines processes and simplifies administrative tasks district-wide. Synergy’s integrated grade book will help teachers measure student performance and analyze student achievement levels, while powerful web portals and mobile applications will actively engage parents and students with teacher web pages, automated attendance alerts, and real-time information about classroom happenings, including current grades.
“Lincoln Public Schools is a rapidly growing and highly-respected school district in the Midwest, renowned for its long-standing legacy of educational excellence,” says Robert Weathers, Edupoint’s Founder and CEO. “We are pleased to welcome this type of thought-leader to the Edupoint family. We look forward to a longstanding partnership with LPS and to continued growth throughout Nebraska.”
In addition to Synergy SIS, the district will also implement Edupoint’s Synergy® Special Education solution. Edupoint will support the project with its proven System Implementation Methodology (SIM), with plans to have all district facilities live on Synergy in time for the start of the 2014/2015 term.
