Edupoint’s Growth and Success in Virginia Continues
A strong commitment to the Virginia market has resulted in continued success for Edupoint® Educational Systems, as five former Star_Base districts representing over 177,000 students have recently selected the Synergy® Education Platform – a leading student information system solution for the national K-12 market. As a successful solution already serving numerous districts in the state, Synergy’s industry leading functionality – combined with Edupoint’s proven and established transition approach – have proven a favorable solution for districts seeking a new SIS.
Many Virginia school districts have been forced to evaluate their student information systems after their previous SIS provider was acquired in late 2012. The Synergy Education Platform, available for license in Virginia through cooperative purchasing agreements, provides a true web SIS solution with an integrated standards-based grade book, robust master schedule builder, parent and student portals, curriculum management module, mobile applications, and a special education student data management solution. Synergy’s flexible offerings allow all districts – small and large, urban and rural – the ability to scale and configure the solution to meet their individual needs.
“We are extremely pleased to be the preferred replacement solution for many Star_Base districts,” says Bob Weathers, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Edupoint. “The Synergy Student Information System is clearly a strong match to these districts’ needs. We welcome our new Virginia districts to the Edupoint family, and we look forward to serving our growing customer base for many years to come.”
The recent Star_Base additions of Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools, Roanoke County Public Schools, Chesterfield County Public Schools, Newport News Public Schools, and Loudoun County Public Schools join other longstanding Edupoint district partners in Virginia, such as Fairfax County Public Schools, Arlington County Public Schools, and Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
