Edupoint Expands Learning Management Offering with Addition of Online Assessment

Edupoint® Educational Systems, a leading student information system (SIS) solution for the national K-12 market, has released Synergy Assessment, a fully-integrated module of the Synergy® Education Platform that enables educators to easily build, manage, and deliver classroom assessments online.  This module expands Edupoint’s learning management system (LMS) platform and allows educators to measure and analyze student performance both on a classroom and individual level.

Synergy’s Assessment module provides standards-aligned productivity tools that allow teachers to create formative assessments from a district-wide item bank directly from the TeacherVUE™ Gradebook they use on a daily basis.  A personalized Assessment Dashboard provides color-coded analysis bands that allow teachers to quickly analyze student performance against district, state, and Common Core Standards to help identify concepts that need reinforcement.  By accessing assessment scores directly alongside assignments, quizzes and tests, teachers can adapt instruction based on performance patterns.  Students and parents can view assessment results in real-time via the StudentVUE™ and ParentVUE™ web portals and mobile applications to reinforce student accountability in the education process.

“Our K-12 customers are investing in e-learning solutions to deliver individualized and targeted instruction, meet accountability mandates and ultimately improve results,” says Rob Wilson, Edupoint’s President and Chief Innovation Officer.  “Building upon the strengths of the Synergy® Student Information System, our fully-integrated assessment solution helps teachers and administrators easily identify struggling students and measure student response to interventions, right from within their existing gradebook.  Putting this type of immediate, actionable data in the hands of educators is exciting, and we plan to expand Synergy’s curriculum and LMS offering to provide even more student learning insight to our partner districts.”
