Edupoint Enters Tennessee as State-Approved SIS Solution Provider

Edupoint® Educational Systems, a leading student information system (SIS) solution for the national K-12 market, has been selected by the Tennessee Department of Education as an approved student data management provider for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) across the state.  Tennessee LEAs will be able to license and implement Edupoint’s Synergy® Education Platform via the State’s cloud delivery data center for a 2014/15 school year deployment.

After an extensive Request for Qualification (RFQ) process and solution demonstrations to the Tennessee Department of Education (DOE), the Synergy Education Platform was selected based on its fit with Tennessee DOE’s vision for comprehensive SIS functionality, Microsoft Azure cloud delivery, and cost competitiveness.  This RFQ award allows any LEA in the state, including those forced to replace their Star_Base™1 student information system due to product end-of-life, to evaluate and select replacement solutions from TDOE approved vendors, including Edupoint’s Synergy.  As the preferred SIS replacement for many former Star_Base districts throughout neighboring Virginia, Tennessee school districts can take advantage of Synergy’s comprehensive administrative functionality for school offices, as well as  teacher and instructional tools that help teachers target instruction and mobile applications that support communication and transparency for improved student success.

“We are extremely excited to be selected as one of the preferred SIS vendors for Tennessee,” says Rob Wilson, President and Chief Innovation Officer for Edupoint. “It’s an honor to partner with a state that is as forward-thinking about the power of educational data as we are. Our solutions support their commitment to the Ed-Fi alliance to provide actionable information on student performance, across schools, districts and programs, using data captured in Synergy.  We look forward to working together to provide a continually evolving solution that meets their current and future student data management needs.”

The Synergy Education Platform provides districts with an integrated suite of solutions that is built on a powerful student information system, including greatly expanded capabilities to meet data management for online registration, learning management and assessment, curriculum management, state reporting, and powerful role-based mobile applications for almost every user type.  By redefining student data management, Synergy streamlines processes, saves time, promotes communication, and informs instructional decisions for improved student success.
