Edupoint and Key Data Systems Announce Partnership For Item Bank and Assessment Solutions

Edupoint® Educational Systems, a leading student information system (SIS) provider for the national K-12 market, has entered into a partnership with Key Data Systems to offer their INSPECT® Common Core Item Bank as a fully integrated component of Synergy® Assessment.  With the INSPECT Common Core Item Bank, educators can use pre-built formative or end-of-year summative assessments, or create their own assessments using items from INSPECT’s 32,000-item library.

“We constantly strive to provide solutions that help educators better understand and respond to students’ specific academic needs, and our partnership with Key Data Systems helps meet that goal,” says Rob Wilson, Edupoint’s President and Chief Innovation Officer.  “The strength of Key Data System’s professional item and assessment banks, combined with Synergy’s instant, actionable insight helps teachers track student and class progress and inform instruction. But the real power lies with INSPECT’s integration with Synergy’s existing teacher gradebook and learning management solutions, which provides an intuitive means to create and administer assessments, complete with real-time scoring and analysis of student performance.  It’s this one-stop platform integration that explains why our Synergy customer base is responding so positively and expanding their Synergy solution suites with Synergy Assessment and Item Bank.”

Synergy® Assessment, a fully integrated component of the Synergy® Education Platform, enables educators to build, manage, and deliver formative and summative assessments directly within Synergy.  Students can take assessments on paper or interactively in the StudentVUE® portal, and educators can view results and create breakout groups directly from the interactive results screen for intervention or differentiated instruction.  The INSPECT Common Core Item Bank allows educators to choose from over 32,000 ELA and math items written to assess the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), including a comprehensive suite of 200 pre-built assessments that include Interim Formative Assessments, End of Year Summative Assessments, and Performance Tasks that provide educators the resources they need to address CCSS and 21st century assessment demands.  CCSS Summative Assessments, aligned with Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) blueprints, also feature items aligned with Webb’s Depth of Knowledge and Bloom’s Taxonomy.  INSPECT also includes English language development assessments to benchmark progress in language acquisition.

Synergy districts that wish to license Synergy Assessment or the INSPECT Common Core Item Bank can contact Edupoint directly.
